The Nike Air Max 98 BW Persian Violet, designed by Tinker Hatfield in 1991, reappears with its black mesh base, enhanced by white and purple leather overlays. The signature padded collar, which softens the shoe's otherwise austere lines, is also present. The most recognizable element remains the Nike Air "Big Window" cushioning, from which the shoe takes its name.
The Persian Violet will not be the only BW to be reissued, the Marina Jade will soon make its grand return, much to the delight of fans of the silhouette.
